In order to get on the road, we invite you to complete the following 10 steps…
1) Contractor Compliance – Log in to Contractor Compliance and work your way through the listed requirements. Note that you will need to upload the following documents: California drivers license, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, and Covid Vaccination Record Card. Other requested documents are discussed below. You will be emailed a “link” to get you going.
Things to note in Contractor Compliance… Let’s Ride is the “Service Provider” and we are your employer. EverDriven is the company that contracts with Let’s Ride and provides the routes that we drive. “Ambulatory” means the students are capable of walking themselves – no wheelchair needed. If you have any issues with Contractor Compliance, please call them directly at: 800-452-0863.
2) Fingerprinting – You need to be fingerprinted (which is called a “LiveScan”). Print the LiveScan form from Contractor Compliance after you log in, and take the form to the Luna LiveScan facility in Oceanside – no appointment needed! They are located at 4093 Oceanside Boulevard in Oceanside, and they will bill Let’s Ride directly. Other locations will charge about $85 which Let’s Ride will reimburse with your first paycheck. 3) TB Test – You will need to be tested for Tuberculosis which is called a TB Test. It is a “skin prick” with a follow up appointment 48 hours later to determine whether you have been exposed to Tuberculosis. You can see your own medical provider, or any express clinic. Your medical provider will provide you with a receipt stating the test results which you will upload to Contractor Compliance. Let’s Ride will reimburse you for the cost of the test with your first paycheck.
4) Vehicle Inspection – You need to obtain a “Certified Vehicle Inspection.” We suggest using the form for Lyft drivers which can be found here: https://ridesharemechanic.com/wp-content/uploads/pdf/lyft/lyft-vehicle-inspection-form-california.pdf Please take the form to your nearest Pep Boys and have them inspect your vehicle and fill out the form. Once completed, please upload the form to Contractor Compliance. Let’s Ride will reimburse you for the cost of the inspection with your first paycheck. A second vehicle inspection will be performed by an EverDriven representative at your convenience.
5) Drug/Alcohol Testing – You will need to pass a drug/alcohol test via a urine sample. Let’s Ride will register you with our “drug consortium” (Norton Medical) and they will email you a registration code. Once you have that code, you will need to appear at one of the following LabCorp locations for your test: 2067 W. Vista Way in Vista (10am – 1pm), or 351 Santa Fe Drive in Encinitas (1-3pm). Please write down or photograph the specimen ID number and provide it to Let’s Ride.Also, please provide Let’s Ride with the form entitled “Consent and Direction to Release Drug & Alcohol Testing Form & Drug Testing Results” which can be downloaded from Contractor Compliance. Before providing this form to Let’s Ride, please fill out the enrollee name, last four of SSN, enrollee signature, and date. Please note that while a member of Let’s Ride’s drug consortium, you are subject to random drug and alcohol tests.
6) Training – Let’s Ride will enroll you in an online training course – you will receive a link directly from “CTAA” and you will need to upload your certificate of completion to Contractor Compliance once you have finished.
7) Payroll – “Workforce” will email you a link for you to input your banking information so you can receive your weekly payments via direct deposit.
8) EverDriven App – You will need to download the EverDriven Driver app to your phone so you can get that precious cargo off to school! The app is available in your phone’s app store.
9) Photograph – Please email Let’s Ride a recent photograph of you for your ID badge (head and shoulders please!).
10) The Final Step – Let’s Ride will provide you with a window cling for your windshield, magnets for your car, and any equipment you will need for your routes (carseat, buckle guard, etc.).
